Back one step Home Chimney Sweep service to bring good luck on your special day. Essential Guide Legally what is marriage Guide to a Stress Free Wedding

IT IS NOT FASHIONABLE TODAY FOR THE BRIDE TO BE LATE.  Late arrival of the Bride can cause numerous problems in the form of undue stress for the groom and his attendants, the celebrant, your guests, especially the elderly and young children.  These people have already been ‘standing around’ for some time, and tend to become tired and unsettled.  Some decide to leave for the ‘bar’, while others who become weary will return to sit in their cars.  Also, the site may be booked for another wedding.  Your Celebrant will most likely have another engagement, and does not wish to arrive late for that ceremony.  If this looks likely, he has the right to leave and return to your wedding at a later time.  Please refer to the Confirmation of the Ceremony Booking that you have both signed.  So in the interests of all concerned, please -be considerate, and be on time.

EQUALLY, OF COURSE THIS APPLIES TO THE GROOM  Both the Groom and his attendants should be on site at least a half hour before hand to be able to greet the guests, and to be ready for the Photographer.

HAIRDRESSER AND MAKEUP   When arranging your appointments with Hairdressers and Makeup, please ensure that you as the Bride gets done FIRST.  This will enable you to be dressed and ready for any home photographs when the Photographer and video operator arrive.

THE PHOTOGRAPHER DOES NOT RUN TO HIS TIMETABLE, BUT TO YOURS  With regret, the majority of photographers have no concept of time.  It just does not exist in their language.  So, in the interests of keeping your sanity and calm, that of your family, the wedding party, and of the celebrant, would you please ensure that your photographer understands fully that the wedding commences on time.  This may mean that you and all the bridal party have to be ready earlier, and the photographer fits in with your schedule, not his or hers.  This equally applies to video operators.

TRANSPORT TO THE WEDDING VENUE         Let me take this in two parts:

·         USING LIMOUSINES OR HIRE VEHICLES  At least one week beforehand, contact the company involved and go over all transport requirements.  Two days before, do it again, particularly timings of arrival at the Bride’s Home, departure from the same and arrival time at the wedding venue, allowing for the Photographer who may take up at least 15 minutes.  Ensure that the driver will know the location and directions to the wedding venue.

·         PRIVATE VEHICLE  Please do not use immediate family to drive the Bride to the Wedding.  At lease one week before, at approximately the same time and day as the wedding, do a practice run from where you are getting dressed to the venue.  This will cater for about the same type of traffic.  Use the same driver as on the day, and get him or her to obey all traffic lights, directions, speed limits etc.  I don’t want them booked.  Note the time, then add 15 minutes to it, then working back calculate the time the bride should be in the car and on her way.  This extra time ensures that she will be able to be taken around any traffic diversions, holdups, accidents, RBT’s etc. and  arrive cool and calm and collected

·         IN THE EVENT OF ANY ACCIDENT, FLAT TYRE, VEHICLE BREAKDOWN  which can happen, I recommend that the bride has at least $30 on her person, so that when a Cab is called, she has the fare to pay for it.  Do not wait for help.  Yellow Cab No is 131924
